American Heart Association PALS, ACLS and BLS Certification

Several years ago, the American Heart Association partnered with Operation Smile to establish international training programs for developing nations that will provide critical life-saving skills to in-country medical professionals. The program is intended to develop training networks and deliver certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS). Operation Smile has trained volunteers from the organization’s global foundations to recognize and treat emergencies, including cardiac arrest and respiratory failure.

Operation Smile Morocco has actively promoted better patient care through BLS training throughout the country. Operation Smile Morocco is expanding its own training networks and offering this valuable certification to many others such as the police force. Operation Smile Morocco conducts programs on monthly basis. Additionally, Operation Smile Morocco provides PALS and ACLS training on yearly basis for its volunteers.

Operation Smile is now recognized as an International Training Organization (ITO) of the American Heart Association (AHA), authorized by the AHA to function as a global and mobile ITO. Through this partnership, and the ripple effect it has created, thousands of volunteers have been trained and certified in these critical areas.
